Sugar syrup is one of the essential items you must learn to make sometime early in your culinary journey, especially if you are interested in making sweets, preserves, drinks and desserts.
This simple sugar syrup is ideal or making drinks and desserts. It can be kept at room temperature or in the fridge in an airtight container for more than 20 days. It will come in handy for making mocktails , and also as a sweetener for desserts .
Method- Combine the sugar and water in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 to 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

- Cool completely, store in an air-tight container and use as required.
