How To Microwave Green Peas

Use the microwave to cook the frozen or fresh green peas with these simple instructions, quickly and then use them to make pea puree which can be used in various recipes.
Frozen:- Place 1 cup frozen peas on a microwave-proof plate. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water over them and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Use as required.
Fresh:- Place 1 cup shelled fresh peas on a microwave proof plate. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of water over them and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Use as required.
Peas purée:- Follow any of the above procedure. Allow the peas to cool and blend in a mixer along with enough water to form a thick purée. Use as required.
- 1 cup cooked green peas = ¾ cup cooked green peas purée
