Pineapple purée imparts sweetness and a fruity flavour to this sheera. Nutritious and highly recommended for kids, serve warm sheera when your child comes home hungry or chill it to serve as a dessert, whichever way your child relishes it the most.

Method

  1. Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the oats and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till they turn light brown in colour while stirring continuously.
  2. Add the pineapple purée and mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar, milk and ½ cup of water, mix well and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes or till the liquid evaporates, while stirring continuously.
  4. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers.

very innovative way to use oats...actually this sheera is a perfect balance of taste and health. i make for my little one as it has cereal, milk and fruit- a complete meal. instead of almonds slivers i add dryfruit powder as she does not hav eteeth.

This recipe is totally delicious...kids mostly ignore oats in their diet due to it's non-appealing factors...but adding fibre rich oats to the sheera...WOW..International Ingredient used in Indian dish and that too it blends beautifully....great recipe!! Double Thumbs Up!!
