Ingredients
Dakor na Gota
1 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
1/2 cup semolina (rava / sooji)
2 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp crushed carom seeds (ajwain)
1 tsp crushed fennel seeds (saunf)
1 tsp crushed coriander (dhania) seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
a pinch baking soda
1 tsp lemon juice
3 tbsp hot oil
oil for deep-frying

Method
For dakor na gota
- To make dakor na gota recipe, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl along with ½ cup of water and mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency.
- Cover with a lid and keep aside the batter to rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and add 3 tbsp of hot oil in the batter, whisk the batter vigorously.
- Deep-fry a few dakor na gota at a time on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Drain them on an absorbent paper.
- Serve dakor na gota hot with khajur imli ni chutney and green chutney.
