Ingredients

For Honey Chilli Potatoes

To Be Mixed Into A Batter Using 3/4 Cup Water

To Be Mixed Into Sauce Mixture Using 1/2 Cup Water

Method

For the fried potato fingers
 

  1. To make honey chilli potatoes recipe, heat enough water in a deep pan, add salt, vinegar and mix well.
  2. Bring it to a boil then add the potato fingers, par-boil them on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and spread them on tray to cool.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan, dip and coat the par boiled potatoes well in the batter.
  5. Deep fry them on a medium flame until light golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain them on an absorbent paper and keep aside.


How to proceed
 

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in an iron wok or deep pan, add the ginger, garlic, green chillies and spring onion whites and greens.
  2. Sauté on a high flame for a minute. Add the onions, capsicum and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the sauce mixture and cook on a high flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  4. Add the fried potato fingers, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and cook on a high flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Add honey, spring onion greens and mix well.
  6. Serve honey chilli potatoes immediately sprinkled with sesame seeds.
