Method

For sprouts khichdi
 

  1. To make sprouts khichdi recipe for kids and toddlers, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the rice and mixed sprouts and sauté on a medium flame for another 30 seconds
  5. Add ¾ cup of water and salt, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  6. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid
  7. Coarsely mash the khichdi using the back of a spoon.
  8. Serve the sprouts khichdi lukewarm with fresh curds.
