Ingredients
For Mango Bhapa Doi
1 cup hung curds (chakka dahi)
1 cup condensed milk
1/3 cup mango pulp
1/8 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
For Garnish
1/2 cup chopped mango
rose petals for sprinkling
crushed pistachios for sprinkling
Method
For mango bhapa doi
- To make mango bhapa doi, combine hung curd, condensed milk, mango pulp and cardamom powder in a deep bowl.
- Whisk well till smooth and lump free.
- Transfer the mixture into a lined tin and cover using an aluminum foil.
- Steam in a steamer on medium flame for 30 minutes.
- Remove and refrigerate it for about 2 hours.
- Once cooled, loosen the sides of the doi using a sharp knife.
- Demould and remove the lined paper.
- Garnish with chopped mangoes, rose petals and crushed pistachios.
- Serve mango bhapa doi chilled.
