Ingredients
For Nutritious Jowar and Tomato Chilla
1/4 cup jowar (white millet) flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/4 cup oats flour
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped tomato
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
salt to taste
1 3/4 tsp oil for greasing and cooking
Method
For nutritious jowar and tomato chilla
- To make nutritious jowar and tomato chilla, combine all the ingredients along with ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well to make a batter of pouring consistency.
- Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it lightly using ¼ tsp of oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter on the non-stick tava (griddle) and spread it in a circular motion to make a 125 mm. (5”) diameter circle.
- Cook, using ¼ tsp of oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make 5 more chilas.
- Serve the nutritious jowar and tomato chilla immediately with coriander green garlic chutney.
