Apple Cinnamon Soya Shake

A satiating fruity in-between snack, that can be made in a jiffy. The antioxidant flavonoids from soya, fibre from apples and the bio-active compound from cinnamon helps to avoid a quick rise in blood sugar levels and the low-fat milk gives you enough calcium while avoiding the unnecessary fat.

Preparation Time:     Makes 6 glasses

3 cups apple cubes (unpeeled)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
1 cup chilled soya milk (unflavoured)
2 cups chilled low-fat milk , 99.7% fat-free
1/2 tsp sugar substitute (optional)

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend till smooth and frothy.
  2. Pour equal quantities of the shake into 6 individual glasses.
  3. Serve immediately.

A healthy shake for diabetics with soya milk and apples...I did try without sugar substitute and my father, who is a diabetic, relished it.
