Ingredients
For Tomato Garlic Chutney
1 cup finely chopped tomato
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tsp oil
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions whites
2 whole dry Kashmiri red chilli , soaked and finely chopped
salt to taste
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp finely chopped spring onion greens
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
- To make tomato garlic chutney, heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the garlic, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
- Add the kashmiri red chillies, tomatoes and a little water and cook on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the salt, tomato ketchup, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove from the flame and allow it to cool completely.
- Add the spring onion greens and coriander, mix well and serve immediately.
