Ingredients
Raw Banana Crispies
1 1/4 cups parboiled and diagonally cut raw banana
2 cups corn flakes for rolling
oil for deep-frying
To Be Mixed Together Into A Batter ( Using 1 Cup Of Water)
3/4 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
Method
For raw banana crispies
- To make raw banana crispies, first parboil the raw bananas, let them cool, then peel and cut them diagonally.
- Make a batter by adding plain flour, cornflour, green chilli paste, chilli powder, salt and 1 cup of water to a bowl.
- Whisk the batter until smooth, breaking up any lumps that form.
- Dip each parboiled raw banana piece in the prepared batter and roll in the cornflakes till it is evenly coated from all the sides.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few banana pieces at a time, till they turn golden brown.
- Serve raw banana crispies immediately with tomato ketchup.
