A dough scraper is a tool used to scrape the excess dough to clean surfaces on which dough has been worked. It is generally a small sheet of steel with a handle made of wood or plastic. Professional bakers and chefs also use a dough scraper to pick, turn and portion dough. These are also available with silicon or plastic blades.
How to select
Choose scrapers with smooth edges and blades so as to prevent scratches on the surface. Check the material it is made of and choose as required, depending on strength, ease of maintenance, etc.
