What is canned passion fruit puree, canned krishna kamal fruit ki puree?
Passion fruit are a small, round fruit with a hard purple casing. Inside the fruit is a delicious, sweet and tangy yellow pulp that contains edible seeds. The extracted puree has a pH 2.6 - 3.0 and unusually high starch content. The bigger fruits (more than 30g) are more suitable for food processing as they have more juice and less rind.
There are two important commercial varieties, purple passions fruit (Passiflora edulis), and yellow passion fruit, (Passiflora edulis for flavicarpa), the latter has larger fruits and more acidic juice, and a less preferred flavor. It can be served plain or as sauces, beverages or ice creams.

The fruits are most suitable for processing when all greenness has disappeared and the outer skin has a smooth or slightly crinkled surface.

· Passion fruit puree can be used as a base for Passion fruit Smoothie, Passion fruit Lime Punch or passion fruit Jams, Jellies
· Passion fruit puree can be added to curd, used as a Custard Filling or even in cakes.
· A variety of sorbet and ice cream recipes include canned passion fruit puree.
· They also a regular ingredient in Cookies, Bars, candies, Quick Breads and Baked Goods
How to store canned passion fruit puree, canned krishna kamal fruit ki puree
It is best to take out the can contents in to a glass or plastic container and store the puree in refrigerator. You can even freeze the puree in an ice cube tray
