For Palak Paneer Rice
1/4 cup chopped spinach (palak) , washed and drained
1/4 cup chopped paneer (cottage cheese) , preferably made with cow's milk
1/4 cup rice (chawal) , washed and drained
1/2 tsp ghee
a pinch of cumin seeds (jeera)
restricted quantity of salt
For Serving With Palak Paneer Rice
fresh curd (dahi) , preferably made with cow?s
Method
For palak paneer rice
- To make palak paneer rice for babies and toddlers, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the rice and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the spinach, paneer, salt and 1 cup of water, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Serve the palak paneer rice for babies and toddlers lukewarm with fresh curds.
