Ingredients
For Baked Jowar Onion Puri
1/2 cup jowar (white millet) flour
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tsp black sesame seeds (kala til)
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
1 1/4 tsp oil for greasing

Method
For baked jowar onion puri
- To make jowar onion puri, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a firm dough using enough water.
- Divide the dough into 30 equal portions.
- Roll each portion of the dough in between your palms into a 38 mm. (1½") diameter circle, using very little jowar flour for rolling.
- Prick all over the puris evenly using a fork.
- Grease a baking tray using ¼ tsp of oil and place 20 puris evenly over it.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 18 minutes or till the puris are golden brown and crisp, turning them once after 9 minutes.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 to bake one more batch of 10 puris.
- Cool and store the jowar onion puri in an air-tight container. These will stay fresh for 3 to 4 days.
