Ingredients
To Be Mixed Together Into A Stuffing For Farali Pattice
5 tbsp freshly grated coconut
3 tbsp roasted and powdered peanuts
3 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 1/2 tsp chopped raisins (kismis)
1 1/2 tsp chopped cashew nut (kaju)
1 tbsp ginger-green chilli paste
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste
To Be Mixed Together Into A Potato Mixture For Farali Pattice
1 3/4 cups boiled , peeled and boiled and mashed potatoes
3 tbsp arrowroot (paniphal) flour flour
salt to taste
To Be Mixed Together Into Sweetened Curds
1 cup fresh whisked curds (dahi)
3 tbsp powdered sugar
a pinch of salt
Other Ingredients For Farali Pattice
arrowroot (paniphal) flour for rolling
oil for deep-frying
For Serving With Farali Pattice

Method
For farali pattice
- To make farali pattice, divide the potato mixture and the stuffing into 8 equal portions and keep aside.
- Flatten a portion of the potato mixture into a 75 mm. (3") diameter circle and place a portion of the stuffing in the centre.
- Bring together the edges in the centre to seal the stuffing and shape it into a round. Keep aside.
- Roll the pattice in the arrowroot flour till it is evenly coated from all the sides.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 to make 7 more farali pattice.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the a few farali pattice on a medium flame till they turn brown in colour from all the sides. Drain the farali pattice on absorbent paper.
How to proceed to serve farali pattice
- Place 2 farali pattice on a plate and serve immediately with teekha chutney and sweetened curds.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more farali pattice plates.
