  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, add enough water and knead into dough.
  2. Keep aside for 5 to 10 minutes and make small lemon sized balls and roll them into 2 to 3" puris.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the puris until light brown in colour.
  4. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice, ketchup or pickle.

This recipe came out very bland. You have no listed any salt. Also I think it needs more spices. My puri were barely yellow and didn’t have any spice at all.
