Walnut Chocolate Cake recipe - How to make Walnut Chocolate Cake



Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 cake

1 cup oil
3 eggs
5-6 drops vanilla essence
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1 cup castor sugar
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup roughly chopped walnuts (akhrot)
oil for greasing

For Serving
vanilla ice-cream
  1. Combine the oil, eggs, vanilla essence in a mixing bowl and beat lightly. Keep aside.
  2. Sieve together the plain flour, castor sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Gradually fold the flour in the egg mixture and mix gently till no lumps remain.
  4. Add the milk and walnuts, mix well.
  5. Take a well-greased microwave safe dish and pour the batter into it.
  6. Microwave on HIGH for 7 minutes or till the cake is completely bake.
  7. Cool it at room temperature.
  8. Cut into a equal size pieces and serve with vanilla ice-cream or store in air-tight container and use as per required.
