Vegetable Toast recipe - How to make Vegetable Toast

1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup grated carrot
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp chaat masala
salt to taste
2 tsp tomato sauce
4 bread slices
butter for cooking

For Serving
tomato sauce
  1. Heat oil in a pan add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackles add the onion, capsicum and saute till onion is translucent.
  3. Add the tomato and cook till mushy.
  4. Add the carrot, chilli powder, chat masala and salt, mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Add tomato ketchup,mix well and remove from heat.
  6. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portion and keep aside.
  7. Apply little butter and toast the bread slices.
  8. Take one portion of the filling and heap over the toasted bread and level it with a spoon.
  9. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
