3 cups mixed vegetables ( cabbage, carrot, potato, french beans, Peas) , kabuli chana (white chick peas) , sweet corn (makai ke dane)
2 cups moong dal (split green gram)
1 tsp sambhar powder
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
salt to taste
2 tsp coconut (if required)

  1. Cut and wash the vegetables.
  2. In a vessel put powder, salt and asafoetida and add some water.
  3. Put all the vegetables and let boil for 15-20 mins.
  4. In the mean time, pressure cook the dal.
  5. After the vegetables are tender add the dal and mix until it is neither too thick or too watery.
  6. Crackle mustard, urud dal and a red chilli and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Sprinkle some coconut if you want and mix.
