  1. In a blender, combine the dal, ginger, chillies and make a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer it to the bowl, add remaining ingredients except oil and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, drop the batter like pakodas and deep fry in oil.
  4. Drain on tissue paper.
  5. Serve with tomato ketchup.
