A delicious and tangy South Indian recipe made with tamarind, besan, jaggery and chillies. Serve with plain steamed rice.

  1. Extract and boil tamarind for 10 minutes.
  2. Roast chilli, dhaniya, besan, coconut in little oil and grind to paste and put in the syrup.
  3. Let it boil for some time.
  4. After 2 boils add jaggery. allow it to thicken.
  5. Add some fried coconut.
  6. Crackle mustard and besan.
