Strawberry Bruschetta is a good weekend breakfast receipe.
This is a good combination of Vitamine C, Selenium and Carbohydrate.

Strawberry Bruschetta recipe - How to make Strawberry Bruschetta

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 serving

3 cups sliced strawberries
6 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped basil
pinch of salt
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
pinch of crushed red pepper (optional)
4 thick slices whole wheat bread
extra basil for garnish (optional)
  1. In a medium bowl, mix strawberries, brown sugar, vinegar, oil, basil, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper.
  2. Set aside to let the berries release their juice.
  3. Arrange dry bread slices and toast on both sides in a toaster.(this can be done in batches).
  4. Arrange toasted bread slices on a platter.
  5. Stir the strawberry mixture then top each piece of bread with a spoonful of the berries, including a bit of the liquid with each spoonful.
  6. Garnish bruschetta with basil leaves if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.
