Sprouty Masala Buns recipe - How to make Sprouty Masala Buns

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 serving

1 cup boiled sprouted moong (whole green gram)
2 boiled , peeled and mashed potatoes
3 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp pav bhaji masala
1 tbsp red chilli powder
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
sweet chutney
2 tbsp masala peanuts
mini buns as required
butter for roasting

For The Garnish

  1. In a non-stick pan heat oil on a medium flame, add the tomato puree and cook for a minute.
  2. Add the pav bhaji masala, chilli powder, turmeric powder, sugar and salt. Mix well and cook.
  3. Add the potatoes and boiled sprouted moong. Mix well and add sesame seeds and chopped coriander.
  4. Slit the bun, spread some sweet chutney and top it with a litle stuffing. Sprinkle some masala peanuts and sev. Press the buns and roast on a tava (griddle) using a little butter.
  5. Serve immediately with chips, chutney and soft drinks.
