Soup Of Tamaatar recipe - How to make Soup Of Tamaatar

7 to 8 tomatoes
2 onions
5 to 6 cloves garlic (lehsun) (optional)
1 inch piece ginger (adrak)
4 spoons cornflour or plain flour (maida)
1 spoon chilli powder
2 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
salt to taste
1 spoon ghee
1/2 lemon slice
2 cloves (laung / lavang) and cinnamon (dalchini)
For decoration
Bits of rusk, fresh cream and coriander (dhania)

  1. Cook tomatoes and onion in a cooker without water.
  2. Add garlic,ginger,cloves & cinnamon to this.strain with the help of a mixie.
  3. Melt ghee in a vessel & add this mixture & boil.
  4. Add chillie & pepper powders and let it boil for somemore time.
  5. Stir maida in water before adding to this.
  6. When it thickens remove & decorate.
  7. If u want it to be spicy,add more pepper powder
