Sopa de milho verde (green corn soup) is a mildly spiced up hot soup recipe, reminiscent of traditional Mexican style prepared corn soups. The soup has the lovely combination of corn and green onions and is typically enjoyed with corn chips

Sopa De Milho Verde (green Corn Soup) recipe - How to make Sopa De Milho Verde (green Corn Soup)

3 cups coooked sweet corn (makai ke dane)
1 cup chopped spring onions
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
salt and black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste

  1. Put corn, milk and green onions in a mixture and blend into a smooth puree.
  2. Heat the butter and fry the flour for ½ minute.
  3. Add the corn mixture, 2 cups of water and salt and pepper and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot.
