  1. Boil the yam in a deep non-stick pan with enough water for 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Drain. Keep aside.
  3. Combine the chilli powder, tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, rice flour and salt in a deep bowl and mix well.
  4. Coat each yam slice with the prepared masala, from both the sides. Keep aside.
  5. Heat the oil in a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the coated yam slices on a medium flame till they turn brown in colour from both the sides.
  6. Serve immediately.

wow.. crispy.. masalaedar suran.. amazing quick recipe.. made this today and had with dal rice.. it taste really good.
