A complete meal in itself, sailor's boat is a delicious chaat recipe. This appealing boat is made by deep frying Maida pattiesa and then filled with delectable combination of boiled potato, sprouted moong, onion, tomato, chillies and chaat masala. The Sailor's boat is then topped with beaten curd and imli chutney and served garnished with chopped coriander leaves.

Ingredients


to make boats
250 gms plain flour (maida)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying

for filling:
100 gms potatoes
100 gms sprouted moong (whole green gram)
100 gms sprouted kabuli chana (white chick peas)
sweet chutney
100 gms dates (khajur)
50 gms tamarind (imli)
100 gms jaggery (gur)
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
salt to taste

green chatni:
1 bunch coriander (dhania)
3 green chillies
small piece ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste

garlic chatni
8 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
3 tbsp chilli powder
salt to taste

for topping
100 gms sev
100 gms curds (dahi)
2 tbsp sandwich masala
chopped coriander (dhania)
Method


  1. Take maida, add salt to it. add water to make a thin paste of maida. consistency should not be very thin.
  2. In a kadhai take oil for deep frying.
  3. Take boat machine dip in to the flour and hold it into the frying pan befor that check that the oil is become very hot.
  4. When boats remove the sides of that machine take them out.
  5. Note: u can make this boats before 1 or two days also.
  6. Boil potatoes peel them & cut into small pieces
  7. Boil sprouted moong and chana adding salt & turmeric pd. drain them.
  8. Take fried boats,add potato ,moong ,chana.
  9. Put sweet,green & garlic chatni according to the requirement.
  10. Put churned curd on to it.
  11. Sprinkle sev, sandwitch masala & coriender leaves.

Boat mould lekar aai boat se batter stick hi rahta hai nikalta nahi hai . Plz bataiye
