Jain Soups, Soups that Jains must TRY! Whether as an appetizer or a mid-day snack, Soups are much loved across the globe. Some might think you cannot make soups without onions and garlic as a base flavoring, but it is not so. There are some lovely Jain-friendly soups that can be easily whipped up without using anything that grows underground. Below mentioned is the list of food items avoided by Jains. One can never go any wrong with classics. The main ingredients in such soups are so flavorful in themselves that you don’t need many other things to make them taste wonderful in itself. A few of those soups are:

1. pepper rasam is a very good cure for cold, cough, indigestion, constipation.
2. if you want the rasam to be hot, then in the seasoning you can add one red chilli.
3. when boiling rasam, keep the flame medium. also cover the rasam with a lid so that the aroma is not lost.
