Microwave Veg Indian Recipes

Microwave cookery is cooking using electromagnetic waves in a microwave powered by electricity. Microwaves activates the water molecules of the food, causing heat by friction which cooks or reheats the food. It is a very quick and easy method of cooking. Cooking in microwave is clean and efficient, quick boiling and mixing, no fermenting, less oil consumption and shorter cooking time.

5 Basic tips for beginners while using microwave:

1. The foods will be hot after cooking, so use heat proof mittens while removing them.
2. If you are covering something with a lid, make sure to leave a portion uncovered, to let the steam pass.
3. Make sure any glass, plastic containers, you use are labeled 'microwave safe'.
4. Never operate a microwave if the door doesn't close or is broken.
5. Don't forget to read the instruction manual or recipe and follow the cooking time, temperature etc.
