Wraps are one of the easiest things to make for a quick snack or lunch/dinner. The western countries use maize flour based tortillas to make different types of wraps and rolls, but in India you can use leftover rotis to do the same or make Flour Tortillas! Rotis are home to tasty fillings in this category of snacks! You can wrap rotis and tortillas around innumerable combinations of tasty and satisfying ingredients, limited only by your imagination. It’s not necessary for the wraps to have a western taste and feel, they may very well have an Indian taste.

These wraps make wonderful snacks to have on-the-go, and can also be cut up and served attractively as starters.  You can make use of leftover rotis, stuff it with a mix of vegetables and you will have for yourself a Vegetable Frankie, exactly like the street vendors make it. Cauliflower and green peas stuffed beetroot wrap is a wrap made with a pink roti! The dough is made with flour and beet puree while stuffing is a mix of healthy cauliflower and green peas.

Mixed sprouts wrap: This interesting wrap can be jazzed up with chilli powder or ginger garlic paste and still have the goodness and benefits of the sprouts.

You can even work a bit of international magic by adding baked beans and Salsa or lacing the wrap with Chinese sauces. The most famous wrap in the world is burrito, which is a Mexican wrap stuffed beans, rice and salsa.
