South Indian Rice recipes

Rice is the staple grain in South India. Apart from having the rice with Sambhar, Rasam and chutneys, rice is also cooked into one-dish meals like Coconut Rice, Lemon Rice and Tamarind Rice, which are easy to make and also handy to pack in lunch boxes.
Unlike pulaos and biryanis, which focus on spices like cardamom and cloves, South Indian
