For The Pudding
3 fresh bread slices , cut diagonally
1 1/2 cups warm milk
3 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 tsp butter for greasing and topping

For The Tangy Sauce
3 tbsp orange marmalade
1/2 tsp lemon juice

  1. Combine the orange marmalade and the lemon juice in a microwave safe bowl, mix well and microwave on high for 40 seconds. Keep aside.

  1. Combine the milk, sugar and vanilla essence in a deep bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. Grease a shallow microwave safe dish with ½ tsp of butter.
  3. Place the bread slices on it, pour the milk mixture evenly over it.
  4. Finally put the remaining 1 tsp of butter evenly and microwave on high for 7 minutes, while checking the dish twice in between.

Wow.. bread and butter pudding with a yummy tangy sauce. the orange sauce topped over the pudding gives a extra flavour to it, making it more tasty. I love this pudding.....
