Like the caterpillar grows into a beautiful butterfly, simple ingredients morph into an irresistible starter, the huanciana papas, which will be the star of your party.
Recipe Description for Potatoes with Cottage Cheese Sauce ( Papas A La Huanciana)
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the potatoes, salt and pepper powder, mix gently and cook on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Divide it into 2 equal portions and keep aside.
- Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend till smooth.
- Divide it into 2 equal portions and keep aside.
- Arrange a portion of the potatoes evenly in a baking dish.
- Spread a portion of the cottage cheese sauce evenly over it.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make one more layer.
- Sprinkle the cheese and black pepper powder evenly over it and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot.
