To Be Mixed Together For The Stuffing
2 tbsp dessicated coconut
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
2 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp grated jaggery (gur)
1/4 tsp powdered citric acid (nimbu ka phool)
salt to taste
4 tbsp crushed bikaneri sev , readily available
1 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf)

To Be Mixed and Kneaded Into Soft Dough
2 cups plain flour (maida)
salt to taste
3 tbsp ghee
water for binding the dough

Other Ingredients
oil for deep frying
rice flour (chawal ka atta) for rolling
sweet chutney for spreading on the rolls
  1. Divide the dough into small balls and roll to a roti of medium thickness.
  2. Apply the sweet chutney on the roti.
  3. Spread the prepared stuffing and roll tightly so that the stuffing does not come out.
  4. Cut the roll to 1/2 to 1 inch size.
  5. Deep fry these bhakarvadis in hot oil till golden and serve with tea.
