1 cup thin beaten rice (poha)
3/4 cup sugar
10 cashewnuts (kaju)
10 raisins (kismis)
1 tsp powdered cardamoms
3 tbsp ghee
4 tbsp grated coconut
a pinch powdered saffron (kesar) strands
  1. Take rice flakes in a bowl and sprinkle some water and mix well.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the raisins and cashews and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep a side.
  3. 3.In the same ghee,add sugar and rice flakes and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the coconut and cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Add the kesari powder in 1 tsp water and add to it to make it colorful.
  6. Add fried raisins and cashew nuts to it, mix well and remove form the flame.
  7. Cool and serve.
