Peppery Coco Drink recipe - How to make Peppery Coco Drink

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

2 tsp peppercorns (kalimirch)
1 tsp ghee
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
mint sprig for garnishing
  1. Heat the ghee in a small frying pan, add the peppercorns and saute for 2 minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Add the urad dal and saute until it turns golden brown.
  3. Grind the peppercorn , urad dal and green chilli by adding a small quantity of water.
  4. Take a vessel and pour the contents into it.
  5. Add required amount of water to dilute it.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil and then add coconut milk and simmer the flame.
  7. Add salt as required.
  8. If the drink is very dilute then add corn flour to thicken it.
  9. Switch of the flame and then add lime juice into it.
  10. Pour the hot peppery drink into large glasses and garnish with mint sprig.
  11. Serve hot.
