  1. First, in 2 tbsps oil, roast all the ingredients for grinding to golden colour, and grind to a paste.
  2. Add to the strained tamarind juice, add salt, and allow to boil till it reduces to half and the raw flavour goes off.
  3. In the remaining oil, season mustard seeds and add.
  4. Serve hot with rice and a dash of ghee.papad is a fantastic accompaniment too...
