The natural sweetness of papayas and the peppy flavour of oranges makes this a refreshing and satiating drink, which will delight your taste buds and rejuvenate your body as well.
Papaya is a good source of fibre and vitamins A and C. Choose ripe papayas to get a tasty drink without any added sugar or sugar substitute.
If you make the Papaya Passion using chilled fruits, the result is even better! You can have this drink as a substitute for fruits once in a while, but have it in small helpings, to avoid any rise in blood sugar levels.
- Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend it till smooth.
- Pour equal quantities of the drink into 4 individual glasses and serve immediately.
- Choose a well ripe papaya that sweet in taste, however if the papaya is not sweet ad sugar substitute as required.
- It is highly recommended that this recipe be relished by diabetics only occasionally and in small quantities. This is just a mere ‘treat’ and does not qualify for a regular diabetic menu.
