1 tsp butter
1 tsp oil
1/4 cup onion paste
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tbsp cornflour dissolved with 1/4 cup milk
1 cup paneer (cottage cheese) , cut into 25 mm.(1") cubes
  1. Combine the butter and oil in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
  2. Add the onion paste and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  3. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and tomato purée, mix well and microwave on high for 2 minutes, stirring in between after 1 minute.
  4. Add the dried fenugreek leaves, milk, sugar, salt and cornflour- milk mixture and paneer, mix gently and microwave on high for 3 minutes while stirring twice in between.
  5. Serve immediately.
