  1. Combine the besan, cumin seeds powder, red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well, adding enough water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Add the paneer to the prepared batter and keep aside to marinate for half an hour.
  3. Heat the oil in kadhai and deep fry the paneer till golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  4. Serve hot sprinkled with chaat masala.
