For Paneer Khurchan
3 cups chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 cup finely chopped onions
2 cups finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)


For paneer khurchan

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}paneer khurchan{/span}, heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the cumin seeds and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  2. Add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt, mix well and sauté on a high flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the paneer, mix gently and cook on a high flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve the {span class="bold1"}paneer khurchan{/span} immediately garnished with coriander.
