Nutri Dosa Sandwich recipe - How to make Nutri Dosa Sandwich

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 3 to 4 servings

Ingredients

For The Dosas:
1 cup raw rice (chawal)
1 cup boiled rice (chawal)
2 tbsp white boiled soyabeans beans
1/4 cup urad (whole black lentil) dhal
1/2 raw banana (peeled and cut)
1/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats
salt to taste.

For Carrot Amla Relish ( For The Spread )
2 medium sized carrot , chopped
2 amlas , deseeded and chopped
1 medium sized , peeled and chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
2 red chillies
1 tsp oil
salt to taste.
Method

To make dosa

    To make dosa
  1. Wash and soak the rice,urud dhal, and soya together for about 4-5 hours.
  2. Grind the ingredients,along with the raw kela ,adding a little water as required.
  3. When the mix is finely ground , lastly add the oats,blend it for 2 seconds.
  4. Empty the batter ,add a little salt,mix well and allow it to ferment. ( as in making south indian dosas. )

To make carrot amla relish

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Saute all the ingredients for a while.
  3. Remove,cool and grind with salt and sprinkle of water just as in making chutneys.
  4. Empty contents into a bowl and keep aside.

To make dosa sandwich

  1. Simultaneously place 2 tawas on the gas stove ( for quicker and good results)
  2. Mix the dosa batter well. Pour a ladle of it and spread it around evenly,in a circular manner and sprinkle oil around.
  3. Repeat the same in the other tawa.
  4. By this time the first dosa is half cooked.
  5. Take a tablespoon of the carrot amla chutney and spread it around on this dosa.
  6. Quickly remove the dosa from the second tawa and place it over the other dosa with its top portion facing down.
  7. Gently press the sides with the spoon all around.
  8. Remove and serve hot or cold.
  9. While serving cut into 4 quarters.
