Mushrooms and Peppers recipe - How to make Mushrooms and Peppers

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 servings

500 gms mixed sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
2 onions , sliced
1 red capsicum , sliced
1 capsicum , sliced
4 garlic (lehsun) cloves , crushed
2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
4 tbsp sesame (til) oil
1/2 tsp chinese 5 spice powder
1/2 cup vegetable stock
2 tsp cornflour
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp soy sauce
salt to taste
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the garlic, chilli flakes and Chinese 5 spice powder and saute for a minute.
  2. Add the onions and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the mushrooms and capsicum and saute for more 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine the cornflour, water, soya sauce and salt and mix well and ad to the vegetables.
  5. Simmer till sauce thickens.
  6. serve hot.
