Moong Dal Delight recipe - How to make Moong Dal Delight



Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 servings

1 cup moong dal (green gram) flour
3 tbsp mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
3 tbsp ghee
1/2 tbsp grated ginger (adrak)
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp grated coconut

For The Garnish
pistachio flakes
chocolate flakes
  1. In a pan, caramelize 1/4 cup sugar and ginger, mix it properly. Keep aside the same.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the moong dal flour and saute till light pink in colour.
  3. Add 1 cups water and milk till it becomes thick.
  4. Add the sugar, paneer and coconut and saute till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  5. Cool and fill paper cups with sheera till 3/4th.
  6. Garnish with pistachio flakes, chocolate flakes and caramelized ginger juliennes.
