Mint and Corn Pakoda recipe - How to make Mint and Corn Pakoda


Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 20 pakodas

1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ka dana)
2 cups besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tsp brown sugar
salt to taste
1 tsp chilli flakes
a pinch of carom seeds (ajwain)
1 1/2 tsp curds (dahi)
1 tsp soda bi-carb
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina) leaves
  1. Combine all ingredients together. Mix well with water to form a thick batter.
  2. Heat oil in a wok.
  3. Fry spoonfuls of the batter into the oil until crisp and golden.
  4. Remove from heat. Serve hot with your favourite dip.
