Mexican Burger recipe - How to make Mexican Burger

Ingredients

For Cutlet
2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
1 tbsp corn (makai ke dane) flour
1 small finely chopped onion
1 tbsp boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1 tbsp grated and boiled carrot
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp dried oregano
salt to taste

For Cutlet Stuffing
1 cup soaked , boiled and mashed rajma (kidney beans)
1/2 tsp black peppercorns (kalimirch) powder
1/2 tsp red chilli sauce
salt to taste
oil for frying

For Burger
5 burger buns
3 to 4 tbsp butter
3 to 4 tbsp cheese spread
5 lettuce leaves
1 tsp black peppercorns (kalimirch) powder
salt to taste

For Serving

Method

For outer cutlet

    For outer cutlet
  1. Mix together mashed potatoes, corn flour, chopped onions, boiled sweet corn, boiled carrot, green chilly paste, ginger garlic paste, oregano and salt.
  2. Divide it into 10 equal portions.
  3. Make flat puri like tikki of each portion into 2 inch diameter circles.

For cutlet stuffing

  1. Mix together mashed rajma, pepper, chili sauce and salt.
  2. Divide into 5 equal portions.
  3. Make flat puri like tikki of each potion into less than 2 inch diameter circles. (Approx more than 1 ½ inch)

To make cutlet

  1. Place a kidney bean tikki between two potato tikkis.
  2. Slightly press the three tikkis to make one cutlet
  3. Seal the edges and shallow fry in oil.

  1. Cut burger breads horizontally into two
  2. Apply butter to both the inner portion of the breads
  3. Now apply cheese spread to the lower portion of the bread
  4. Place lettuce leaf on the lower portion
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper powder over the leaf
  6. Place Mexican cutlet over it
  7. Now place one cheese slice over it
  8. Cover it with top portion of the bread
  9. Press it lightly

While Serving

  1. Apply some butter over on top of the bread
  2. Heat it for 60-90 seconds in microwave
  3. Serve it with salsa
