Ingredients

1 bunch of spinach (palak), chopped and cooked with very little water
1/2 cup boiled mixed vegetables
4 boiled and mashed potatoes
2 cheese cubes
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup milk
salt to taste
2 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
1 tbsp butter to grease the dish
2 to 3 slices of bread
Method


  1. Make mashed potatoes in a karhai .heat butter on a low flame.
  2. Add the mashed potatoes and stir well till light brown in colour.
  3. Add the milk, cheese,salt and pepper and keep stirring well for 15 minutes.
  4. Use the hand blender in order to get rid of lumps.
  5. Add salt to the cooked spinach and use the blender to make a thick paste.
  6. Cook the chopped vegetables and keep aside.
  7. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  8. Place the bread slices as the bottom most layer.
  9. Now spread the spinach paste
  10. Evenly on top of the bread slices.
  11. Add the cooked mashed potatoes as the next thick layer.
  12. Finally place the boiled vegetables as the last layer.
  13. Bake for 20 minutes at 150 degrees.
