Malpua Trendy Bengali Pancake recipe - How to make Malpua Trendy Bengali Pancake

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     6Makes 5 to 6 pieces

100 gms powdered rice (chawal)
50 gms plain flour (maida)
a pinch baking powder
75 gms powdered sugar
20 gms mava (khoya)
200 ml milk
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1 tsp aniseeds
1 tsp desiccated coconut
1 tsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
oil or ghee for deep frying
  1. Combine the rice powder, plain flour in a bowl and mix it well with ghee.
  2. Now add baking powder, milk in the bowl and stir well with laddle.
  3. First boil the milk and then bring it in room temperature before adding.
  4. Add sugar, aniseed, khoya, cardamom powder, coconut and cashewnut in the batter and mix it well with laddle.
  5. Heat oil in a wide mouthed flat bottomed kadai.
  6. Pour a laddle full of batter to form a pancake.
  7. You can pour 3-4 laddle full of batter at a time to save your time.
  8. Cook on low to medium heat. Turn it over when it starts to color slightly.
  9. When both the sides are done. Pick it up drain the excess oil and place it in a serving plate.
  10. Serve hot.
