A ‘sweetheart’ is so called because he or she holds a special place in our life. Just thinking about him or her makes you feel sweet and comfy inside. We might not say this to them every day, but it is how we feel about them. Valentine’s Day is nothing but a wonderful opportunity to openly express the love in our hearts.

When an acquaintance once visited a European country, he was surprised to find the hotel staff wishing him on Valentine’s Day. In the course of the day, he came to know that in some European countries, there are many regional beliefs associating Saint Valentine with the advent of spring and other such community-based celebrations, not just romantic love.
